Current Schedule
Pre-registration is required for all classes.
Classes are offered Monday through Saturday. Stop by the store to see display samples of every class we offer (two hallways worth) so you can determine which holds the most interest for you. Classes are usually 3 hours (PMC is all day, bring lunch). Class prices start at $25.00. Click on a link below to get the schedule that most interests you.
Overview
B onita Bead offers a wide variety of classes for jewelry making, ornaments, wall hangings, belts, and just about anything else you can put a bead on. Again, stop by the store to see our two halls of class samples for current classes.
Sometimes we hold special workshops. Read about and see photos of the Cloisonne workshop held March 2010.
The day you sign up for a class you will receive a 10% discount on purchases. And on the day of the class you will also receive a 10% discount.
Some of our class topics:
- Beginner bead stringing and design using crimp beads
- Pearl knotting with silk (also used for semi-precious gems)
- Off Loom Bead Weaving with stitches such as Peyote, Brick, Right Angle Weave, Ndebele and more.
- Chinese Knotting
- Kumihimo
- Crochet with wire and beads
- Wire wrapping - instruction in silver, gold filled and copper jewelry made by shaping and twisting wire and beads
- Chain Maille
- Viking Knit
- Soldering
- PMC (Precious Metal Clay)
- Glass Fusing
- Pine needle basket coiling
- Bead Embroidery for bracelets, wall pieces and other bejeweled items
- Periodically we offer special topic classes like the Cloisonne Workshop we offered March 2010.
 We keep our classes small to provide individualized attention.
Having a problem after class? Our friendly instructors are here to help. Come in and use our beading tables and tools and get that little bit of extra help.
